ILP Specialists assist ODHS and Federally Recognized Tribes in Oregon by supporting resource teens to make a successful transition to self-sufficiency and adulthood. The ILP Specialist works closely with ODHS Child Welfare caseworkers, resource parents, and the youth to assess skills and develop and implement an effective plan for services. ILP specialists work with youth in their communities to increase skills needed for independence. Groups are offered to young people in resource care to promote connections with other youth and develop confidence in moving towards adulthood.
